The Postpartum Resource Center of New York, Inc. is a self-help organization
established to provide emotional support, educational information and healthcare
and support group referrals to mothers suffering from prenatal and postpartum
depression (PPD).
Our mission is to serve New York state women and their families at risk for and experiencing prenatal and postpartum depression/psychosis
- increase prevention, screening, awareness and treatment
- provide support programs and services
- train healthcare providers and consumers
- build community partnerships
PRC of NY — Finding the help you need. PPD Moms need to know...You
are not alone. You are not to blame. You will feel better and get well.
Up to 50,000 women in New York State will experience depression/anxiety
related to childbearing each year. PPD is a treatable illness.
If you believe you or someone you know is experiencing depression/anxiety
during pregnancy or the birth of a child, help is available. We provide
emotional support, educational information and healthcare and support
group referrals.
